Fantastic work, Loretta!
You have obviously put a lot of effort into the production of this slideshow, and it has all of the attributes of an extremely worthwhile learning object. You have utilised audio and pictures to demonstrate exactly how the pronunciation should sound, and there are plenty of opportunities for the students to go back, at their own pace, and revise their work. I love the way you have incorporated assessment into it, I think the quizzes are fantastico!
I have a few questions for you:
• There seems to be a lot of information in the PowerPoint (which is a great thing) but is there too much information given? Would it be better to divide this object up into more manageable parts?
• With all of the choices that you have given the students in the way that they can go through the slideshow, do they ever get a bit lost as to where they are up to? I know my students love to just keep clicking and see what happens! With so many different slides, do they ever miss sections?
• Is it a concern that there is no concrete knowledge being gained here? i.e. they only have to click the mouse and say the words, there is no typing or collaboration or final product for them to own. I'm sure it is done in conjunction with other learning activities, but I'm just curious as to how you would structure the lesson to make sure that the students were completing the task if there is no tangible end product.
